Tottenham vs Gent
|Gent managed to surprise Spurs in the first
leg of the last 32 in the Europa league after
winning 1-0 at home. Not only did they win
they managed to do so while resting some
key players as well as keeping a clean
sheet. With their 1-1 Standard Liege
prioritized higher it was a surprise that
Gent could go on and collect all three
points and come into the 2nd leg
in a good position.
|Judging by Tottenham’s starting 11 in the first leg, as well as Pochettinos comments, its clear they are taking this tournament serious. Their loss to Liverpool was a very big blow, especially by the way it happened and that could have had a mental impact going into their match against Gent. However Spurs managed to boost their moral after winning 0-3 away to Fulham in a London derby, with Kane scoring all three goals.
Both sides have important (must win) matches in their respective leagues this weekend.
A Gent goal will force Spurs to score 3 goals.
Though a playoff finish is a priority, progression in the Euro League would be financially beneficial for Gent.
Chelsea look favorites to win the English title so Tottenham’s main focus will be to secure a Champions League position, while attempting to win a cup, either the FA cup or the Europa League.
This is a very interesting tie and i believe both sides will fancy their chances. Tottenham have won their last 10 home matches and hope to build on this run.
The first match didn’t produce many chances but both sides hit the post, and as i mentioned before both sides will be eager to win over the weekend, meaning neither has any interest in this fixture going to extra time.

EUROPE: Europa League
Lyon vs Dijon
|Lyon will host Dijon in the match of
the 26th round of French league 1.Lyon is playing inconsistent, it is very tough
for them to make 2 wins in a row, while in
League 1 they have won only 1 of last
4 matches. Anyway they need a win in
this game as they are fighting for
4th place and after poor results lately
St Etienne and Marseille come to
only 1 point behind them.
|Lyon is full of confidence after beating AZ 4-1 in Europa league, so I think they could take all 3 points here.
Dijon come after 2-0 win against Caen in the previous round, but before that they have lost 3 matches in a row. They will have big troubles in this game as they will miss 3 very important players in the midfield Melou, Marie and Sammaritano.
So Lyon is huge favorite to win here, but IMO the best option to bet is their win with Dijon scoring some goal. Both teams are playing very offensive football and I think we will see a lot of goals in this game, Lyon’s defense looks vulnerable, while fact is that Dijon have scored at least once in 13 of last 14 matches, so I will take Lyon and BTTS.
Here is possible line ups
Lyon: Gorgelin – Morel, Yanga-Mbiwa, Diakhaby, Jallet – Gonalons, Tousart – Depay, Fekir, Ghezzal – Cornet
Dijon: Reynet – Lang, Varrault, Abdelhamid – Martin, Balmont, Abeid, Marie, Haddadi – Diony, Tavares

Hoffenheim vs Darmstadt
|Hoffenheim suffered second defeat in the
season so far, second consecutive away
from home as the team lost points on the
road to Wolfsburg 2:1 last weekend.
However, it must be said that the things
have started in a good way for the visiting
side, since they took the lead in
26th minute via Zuber and looked more
than decent on the field.
|Visitors remained with more ball possession, while the game itself was very open with chances from both sides. Players of Wolfsburg however managed to revert the scoreline with goals from Arnold in 50th and Didavi in 73rd minute and recorded a victory in a match that could have ended very differently on some other day. Hoffenheim now remained fifth at the table, having just a point less than third and Champions League placed Eintracht, so they are surely after a victory here.
Hoffeneheim is set to play in 3-5-2 formation with Kramaric and Wagner as forwards. Central defender Benjamin Hubner (15/0) is suspended for this one. Midfiedler Philipp Ochs (3/0) is injured, same as central defender Fabian Schar (6/0) and midfielders Jeremy Toljan (11/1) and Lukas Rupp (11/2).Darmstadt surprised everyone last weekend as the team managed to get a three pointer in a home victory over Dortmund last time out with a 2:1 result. They took the lead first in 21st minute via Boyd, while Guerreiro leveled up the result in 44th minute.
Players of Dortmund had much more of the ball possession, but the home side players looked way more concrete on counter attacks and reached the victory via Colak in 67th minute, while players of Dortmund looked better, but without being concrete in attack. Despite a victory against strong opponent, Darmstadt remains last at the table with twelve points earned so far, which is seven less than safely placed Hamburger SV.
Visitors from Darmstadt are set to play in 4-2-3-1 formation, with Boyd as central striker, but also with Sam, Rosenthal and Heller as offensive midfielders. Central defender Aytac Sulu (15/0) is suspended, while injured remain offensive midfielder Denys Oliinyk (3/1), forward Felix Platte (no performance so far) and offensive Sandro Sirigu (16/2).
Darmstadt have lost their last 9 away matches (Bundesliga).
Hoffeneheim now lost two matches out of last three after their undefeated run for the first half of the season, however both defeats came on the road. In front of own fans they still remain quite a force in my eyes and I believe that they should get the victory with ease here against a side that is yet to record a single point away from home. Another positive result for Darmstadt would be simply too much for them at this time.

Olympiakos vs Osmanlispor
|A big derby between a greek and a Turkish team.
Olympiacos are a well known team , which has
|Do not forget that in 2013/14 they passed the group and also won the first match of the round of 16 against Man Utd in home 2-0. Karaiskakis which is also the stadium of Olympakios is known as hell for the opponents and the fans are really crazy and supportive. It is important to say that since October they have won 12 games out of their 15 games in home (3 others are draws). The team is also a competitive one with a lot of good quality players in attack like Brown Ideye , Eloyounoussi , Fourtounis and also a good defence (Botia and De La Bella who previously played in La Liga).
Osmanlispor is having their best season so far. They passed a weird group after a win in the final match against Zurich , and went first before Villareal. They have played some really good games this season but still the team suffers when playing away from their fans. The quality is good but almost nothing when compared to Olympiakos.
Another advantage is the difference between the coaches. The Portuguese Bento who is managing Olympiakos is a much better and experienced one.
I would blindly go for an Olympiakos win in this match. They will keep the tradition of winning at home , and I think that their quality , experience and their fans (especially in a game against a Turkish opponent) are more than enough reasons why they will beat Osmanlispor tomorrow.
So Olympiakos to win.

Real Madrid vs Napoli
|Real Madrid comes from a 3:1 victory away
from home against Osasuna last weekend
in LaLiga match. It must be said that the
game was probably more equal than what
was expected, since the players of Real
had more of the ball possession, but
Osasuna was threatening as well, surely
more than what the players of Real
wanted them to.
|Still, visitors took the lead in 24th minute with a goal from Ronaldo but Leon replied just nine minutes later. Once Real upped their tempo in the second halftime and reached the victory thanks to goals from Isco in 62nd and Lucas in third minute of additional time, overall maybe a bit more difficult than what was expected. The team is now at first position with one point more than Barcelona but has played two matches less which gives them really strong advantage.
Real Madrid should be playing in 4-3-3 formation, using Ronaldo, Benzema and Vazquez as forwards. Important forward Gareth Bale (11/5) has returned to training sessions after two months pause, but the game comes too soon for him.Napoli, on the other side recorded quite easy and comfortable victory at home over Genoa with a 2:0 result. Players of Napoli were way better and had the domination over the opponent but only scored goals once they increased the tempo in the second halftime.
Goals came via Zielinski in 50th minute and Giaccherini in 68th, as the hosts stood completely satisfied with the result. This was eighteen match in a row without a defeat for Napoli in all competitoins, as the team has two consecutive victories and seven out of last eight matches. Napoli is now third at the table in Serie A having nine points less than leaders from Juventus and just two less than Roma, surely wanting to get the direct ticket for the next season’s Champions League.
Visitors from Italy will also be playing in 4-3-3 formation, with Callejon, Mertens and Ingisne in attack. Central defender Lorenzo Tonelli (3/2) is only injury absentee for the visiting side.
Real Madrid have scored at least 2 goals in their last 6 matches (UEFA Champions League).
Napoli is in a fine form, but I rate home ground and experience factor much more important in this one. Real knows how to answer in a proper way when it is needed the most and their victory and almost to secure the progress to the next stage wouldn’t be surprising at all for me.

PSG vs Barcelona
|The Champions League is back again,
and in this fixture PSG will host Barcelona.PSG have progressed as a second-placed
team, behind Arsenal. They stayed unbeaten
in Champions League this season, as they
did in the last eleven competitive games.
|During that run they recorded ten wins, drawing only against Monaco. On Friday they beat Bordeaux 3:0. They looked absolutely dominant in that game, limiting hosts to virtually nothing, and coming out of that game as clear and deseved winners. They will be without injured Pastore for this game.
Barcelona have come to knockout stage as a winners of Group C, finishing in front of Manchester City. They are also on an unbeaten run of eleven games, recording some convincing wins, most notable one being against Alaves on Saturday. They won 6:0 in that game, making a real statement. Suarez opened the scoring in 37th minute, while Neymar added one three minutes later to send Barcelona to half-time with comfortable advantage. In the second half Barcelona scored four more in a space of just eight minutes – from 59th to 67th. For this game they will be missing Mascherano, Rafinha, Turan and Vidal who suffered a horrific ankle injury in the dying minutes of the game against Alaves.
Both teams are coming in great form, and after convincing road victories. It is really hard to separate these teams, even though Barcelona is always Barcelona. They are favourites here, but it is going to be really tough for them, cosnidering that PSG are yet to lose at home this season. We can expect attacking intent from both teams, and that should make this game an open and interesting one. Therefore I think that it is natural to expect both teams to score with over 2.5 goals here.

Bournemouth vs Man. City
|Both these teams iike to play attacking football,
also good to watch. However both defences
are pretty suspect so we should see goals here.
4 of Bournemouth’s last 5 games went
over 2.5 goals. They actually conceded at
least 2 in all fo those last 5. At home this season
they have been involved in some crazy games
like 4-3 v Liverpool, 6-1 vs Hull, 3-3 vs Arsenal.
|Interestingly 3/4 games so far at home to top 6 teams had over 3.5 goals.
Bournemouth’s offence also proved itself against the top teams so far scoring against Man Utd and 4 vs Liverpool and 3 vs Arsenal. Man City are hardly good at the back so no reason to suspect they cant score a few here.
3 of City’s last 5 away games went over 3.5 goals. The squad is obviously filled with talent. They scored 2+ in 9/12 away games this season.
City thrashed Bournemouth in their 3 previous top tier meetings 4-0 this season and 5-1 and 0-4 last season. I think goals are on the cards again here.

Burnley vs Chelsea
|Burnley have been a bit of a surprise package
this season, as they are currently in 13th place,
9 points above relegation, when many people
expected them to get relegated!Their home
form is especially good, with 9-1-3 record,
which is among the elite in this league!
They have a great home record, but did
end up losing against Man City and Arsenal,
so maybe not quite at the top to give trouble
to big teams. But maybe not, because
they did beat Liverpool 2-0.
|Chelsea have been really good this season and could go 12 points at in the lead at the top of the table with a win here.
The odds on just a win are quite low, at around 1.40.
Looking deeper, Chelsea have the best defense in the league, with just 17 goals conceded, with 9 of those in the first 6 matches in the league!
Chelsea defend especially well against the teams in the bottom half of the table! You’d have to go as far as Gameweek 4 to see them concede against a team in the bottom half, Swansea, in a 2-2 draw.
So a Chelsea win with a clean sheets look very likely.
Chelsea don’t have the best attack in the league, especially away from home, where they scored just 18 goals in 12 matches, which is 8th best away attack in the league.
Burnley don’t concede many goals at home, just 11 conceded in 13 matches, which is joint 5th best home defense!
All the stats point to this match ending 1-0 or 2-0, which happened 5 times in Chelsea’s last 9 away matches in the league, with all 5 being against bottom half teams!

Leeds vs Cardiff
|Despite my dislike for Leeds United I must
admit that I have been very impressed with
the job Gary monk is doing. Especially when
they are playing at Elland Road. Given how
strong they’ve been at home, it’s a surprise
they can be backed at Evens here and I
will certainly be taking the value odds on offer.
|At Elland Road Leeds have been rock solid all season. The home form has continued to be strong recently too. This run has seen Leeds winning all of their last six home outings to nil. They’ve won 67% of their Championship home games this term and only 3 sides have collected more points on their own ground than them. Despite losing two of their last four league games Leeds remain firmly in the promotion picture. It is worth noting that United’s recent league defeats were both on their travels, while since the 0-2 home reversal to Newcastle back in November and the most recent being an ill-tempered last minute loss to local rivals Huddersfield Town.
The run of wins should be noted because it hasn’t come against the weaker side in the table. Admittedly a 3-0 win over Rotherham had to be expected, but defeating the likes of promotion-chasing Derby and Reading, solid mid-table side Brentford, and a couple of huge clubs in Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest, all without conceding a goal, has been extremely impressive. The home side also boast one of the division’s leading marksman. Chris Wood has netted an outstanding 18 league goals already and has bagged 7 in his last 6 Championship appearances, so is still in fine touch in front of goal.
Cardiff have showns signs of improvement have managed to climb away from the relegation places but this season is a bit of a write off as Warnock looks to begin plans for a promotion push next season. Recently they have won three games in succession, but the reality is two of those victories came against clubs struggling against relegation, and since then they’ve lost three of their next four. This season they have only won 3 of their last 19 away Championship games and one of those was at rock bottom Rotherham, and another came at a Bristol City side who were in hopeless form and couldn’t buy a win. They average a meagre 0.93 points per game on their travels this season in the league and they have also managed to lose half of their away matches so far.
A much weaker, and not so fluent Leeds beat the Bluebirds 2-0 away from home in September, and now back at Elland Road, with momentum and this terrific home record, look a decent bet at even money to take all three points. Expect the inform Leeds to rack up a 7th straight win at Elland Road and continue their push for promotion.

Nurnberg vs Braunschweig
|Nurnberg managed to reply well after their
defeat at home in the first part after the
re-start of the league, as the team walked
away with a 3:2 defeat on the road against
Heidenheim last weekend in one of the
most interesting matches
in 2. Bundesliga week ago.
|Guests took a better start into the match and took the lead in fourth minute via Sabiri already, while the hosts replied towards the end of the halftime via Kleidenst. It was a very open game where the players of Heidenheim did more in attack and looked more threatening, while the guests played great using counters and managed to take the 3:1 lead via Kammerbauer and Sabiri again in the second halftime, while the hosts only managed to reduce the deficit in second minute of additional time via Verhoek.
Nurnberg is now at ninth position having twenty-eight points which is seven less than third placed Braunschweig and only a victory is an option here. Right defender and team captain Miso Brecko (17/0) is injured for this one.Braunschweig, on the other side, didn’t enter the second part of the season in a proper way, as the team firstly took only a point on the road against Wurzburger Kickers, but then suffered 1:2 defeat in front of own fans against St Pauli last weekend making probably the biggest surprise of the round.
Guests took a great start into the match with a goal from Sobiech in fourth minute, but also playing generally good on counter attacks and doubled up the lead in 72nd minute with a goal from Sahin. Players of Braunschweig had more of the ball possession, but weren’t so concrete in attack only being able to reduce the deficit in sixth minute of additional time via Suleiman. The team is now at third position at the table, having three points less than leaders from Stuttgart, while they also have three more than fourth placed Union Berlin.
Visitors won’t be able to count at left back Ken Reichel (18/2) and midfielders Patrick Schonfeld (17/0) and Nik Omladic (19/2).
Nurnberg remains slight favorite for this one, especially since the visiting team misses few important players. However, my first choice for this one will be an open game with plenty of goals. Chances for overs are way bigger than 50% in my eyes.

Platanias vs AEK Athens
|AEK Athens is in good scoring form
at this moment as they have
scored 12 goals in their last
two games played, both those games
they did play at home in front of their
own fans as they demolished both
Levadiakos and Veria with the
same score 6-0 at home
|And I do expect a couple of goals from them here in this game as they did defeat Platanias at home in November this season with 3-0 scoring all 3 goals of the game in the last 15 minutes of the match, so the score could have actually been even bigger if they had managed to score an early goal in that game there, and also on their last visit here at Platanias last season they won the game played here with 3-0 in the end, just that right now Platanias is undefeated in their last 5 games played in all competitions themselves and they even managed a 2-2 draw at home against Olympiakos which is the strongest team in Greece for many seasons now and they are expected to be scoring even more than once here in this game as this is the first leg of the cup tie and my bet here in this game is going to be on over 3.5 goals being scored here.|

|It was a pretty uneventful game, with Marseille having 71% possession but nothing to show for it. In the end Metz took all three points, as Jouffre scored in 82nd minute, only six minutes after coming on. For this game they will be without injured Diaby, Hubocan, Kamara and new signing Evra.
Guingamp are 8th with 31 points. They have been in poor form lately, recording only one win in the last six competitive games. That win came in Coupe de France against third division Les Herbiers, and only after extra time. When looking at their away record, they are winless in the last six league games, having two wins over the course of the whole season. In the last league match, they lost in Nice 3:1. It was a game in which Guingamp haven`t been far from Nice, but their defensive mistakes cost them in the end. They will be without injured Privat here.
Marseille are coming into this game as favourties, and rightfully so. They have been pretty convincing at home this season, and will surely want to get back on track after loss in the last match. Gunigamp have been nelow par lately, even losing to Caen at home without scoring a goal. Therefore I think that Marseille deserve favourites tag and that anyything except their win would be a surprise. Odds are solid considering everything and I will take them.

Montpellier vs Monaco
|Montpellier was in a real downtrend of their
form in previous two months as the tea
suffered three defeats in a row in
Ligue 1 and didn’t win in previous
five official matches, but looked much
better last weekend when they welcomed
Bastia and took a narrow 2:1 victory.
|They were just a bit better opponent for the whole game and did deserve more out of it, as they entered strongly and took the lead in 17th minute with a goal from Mounie, while Crivelli leveled up the result in 34th minute. However, Bastia did very little in attack in the second halftime and the hosts were more concrete to take over the lead again, this time in 64th minute with a goal from Mounie again. Montpellier is now at thirteenth position with three points more than red zone placed Angers and need to keep with good performances in order not to get drawn into relegation battle.
Defender Morgan Poaty (3/0) is injured, as well as defender Mamadou Ndiaye (2/0), midfielder Joris Marveaux (7/0) and forward Casimir Ninga (9/5). Doubtful for this match remains defender Daniel Congre (14/1) due knee problem.Monaco, on the other side, took a convincing 3:0 victory in front of own fans against Nice last weekend. It was their fifth match without defeat in Ligue 1, as the team continues to be leader at the table having three points more than second and third placed PSG and Nice.
This means that they need to keep on winning in order to keep their chances high in the tittle battle. They looked pretty well against Nice, as the team showed very organized performance against visitors who had much more of the ball possession, but failed in creativity in the midfield. Hosts punished them a lot in the second halftime, taking the lead in 47th minute via Germain, while Falcao in 60th and 81st sealed their victory. Forward Guido Carrillo (16/7) is only real injury absentee for the visiting team.
Monaco is showing much more during the previous weeks and overall during the season and I believe they are clear favorites ahead of this match. Players of Montpellier are looked far less reliable in defense and I can’t see them walking away with something here.

Leicester vs Man. United
|Well, the feel good bubble has finally burst
for Leicester this season. They have
proven last season was just a fluke. It’s
just a case of most of the big teams not
turning up. Ranieri is getting desperate
as he tries different tactics but to no valid.
|Man Utd has woken up after a slow start. Even though they are winless in the last 3 games but they are now unbeaten in their last 14 games.
Goalless in 2017 and Vardy being a 1 season phenomenon, you want to wonder if Leicester will complete their ‘fairy tale part 2’ in tears by being the 1st English league champions to be relegated since 1938. Ranieri doesn’t have a good record of saving a team in distress. Eg his Greece stint. Mourinho will be eager to get back to winning ways and they should be able to do it against a hapless Leicester side.
