Middlesbrough vs Hull City
|Neither side can be too proud of their
performances this season. At the moment,
Middlesbrough has only a point more than
Hull City, but both teams are near the bottom
of the EPL table. However, it looks like this
match will be decided not by who is better,
but who’s worse! Because Hull has been
terrible this season, I believe another
disaster awaits for them on Monday evening.
|First of all, Hull City is the Premier League team with the biggest number of conceded goals. After playing only 13 games, they have the goal difference of 11:28. This also makes them the team with the least number of scored goals in the Premier League this season.
Unfortunately for Hull City fans, the bad news doesn’t end there. For the clash with Middlesbrough, Hull manager, Mike Phelan won’t be able to count on a number of players, including the very talented striker from Uruguay, Abel Hernandez.
In the last 4 Premier League matches that they played away from home, Hull City allowed 15 goals! It looks like they won’t be improving that score anytime soon as they have pretty tough schedule ahead. On top of everything, Hull should be very worried that Middlesbrough attackers are getting in a very good form.
This is especially true for Alvaro Negredo, who scored twice in the last weekend’s draw with Leicester City. In fact, the Spaniard has scored only 3 goals so far in the league and is desperate to improve his yield. I think he might just do it in the clash with Hull City.
All of this has made me to go with Middlesbrough & Over 2.5 Goals, for which a number of bookies are giving amazing odds. The best of all is given by Betway.

Bournemouth vs Liverpool
|In this game Bournemouth will host Liverpool.
Bournemouth are currently 12th with
15 points from 13 games. That is probably
where they will be at the end of the season,
since they are mediocre but stable
Premier League team. Last time out they`ve
lost against Arsenal at Emirates 3:1. They
have been able to beat Stoke away 1:0
two weeks ago, but in the game before that
they lost at home against then-winless
Sunderland, which is something they would
like to forget. They are slightly better at
home than away, but they are not invincible.
|Liverpool are second on the table, one point behind leading Chelsea. In the last Premier League game they`ve beaten Sunderland at home 2:0, to extend their unbeaten run. In the midweek cup fixture in which they`ve beaten Leeds, Klopp was resting all of his first team players, which means they should be fresh for this game. They will be missing, however, injured Lallana and Sturridge.
Liverpool are coming to Bournemouth as favourites, and will be looking to confirm that label. However, Bournemouth are not at all a bad team, and will put up a fight. They`ve scored in every home game this season but one – 0:0 vs Tottenham. Liverpool, on the other hand, have managed to keep a clean sheet for three straight games now, but before that they have been conceding regularly. I think that in this game Bournemouth will break that run and will find a net. And since bookies also seem to think that, and the odds of 1.65 are too low, I will go with a slightly riskier bet, with a smaller stake. And that is for Liverpool to win with both teams scoring. I think that is a very probable outcome and I will back that.

Leipzig vs Schalke
|Leipzig continued with impressive form last
time out, as the team took a three pointer
away to Freiburg last Friday evening
celebrating 4:1 victory. They opened up
the scoreline already in second minute
with a goal from Keita and even though
the hosts replied in fifteenth minute via
Niederlechner, guests soon enough
showed who is the boss on the field.
|They already had double lead in the first halftime thanks to two goals from Werner, while the victory got sealed thanks to a goal from Sabitzer in 79th minute, being much more effective and dangerous with the ball to their feet. It was seventh consecutive victory for Leipzig, as the team continues to look really strong in Bundesliga, being currently at first postion with three points more than Bayern Munich and six more than Champions League placed Hertha or Eintracht Frankfurt.
Home team is set to play in 4-4-2 formation as usual, with Poulsen and Werner as strikers. Stefan Ilsanker will be once again employed as central defender, since they continue to miss Kyriakos Papadopoulos (1/0) and Marvin Compper (11/0). They also miss right defenders Bernardo (7/0) and Lukas Klostermann (1/0), all due injuries. Manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is expected to field an unchanged team.Schalke, on the other side, now looks really strong as the team continues to improve from week to week, after their terrible start. The team is now on a run of five consecutive victories in all competitions, also being undefeated in last twelve matches having ten victories and just two draws on that run.
In the most recent game, the team won over Darmstadt at home with a 3:1 result, even though the game didn’t start that bright since Darmstadt took the lead in sixth minute with a goal from Heller. From that moment on, it was all about Schalke who dominated the game till the end and deservedly celebrated with goals from Kolasinac, Choupo-Moting and Schopf, as the final result could have been even bigger. Schalke is now at eight position, having five points more than Europa League placed sides and need to continue performing well desperately in case they want European exit this season.
Guests are set to play in 3-5-1-1 formation with Choupo-Moting as central striker, plus Meyer as offensive support behind his back. Guests continue to miss couple of really long term absentees, plus striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (7/1) and forward Breel Embolo (7/2). Forward Franco Di Santo (6/0) is not fully fit, but might get some playing time here. All in all, their manager Markus Weinzierl has no reason to make much changes here.
There have been over 2.5 goals scored in RasenBallsport Leipzig’s last 3 home games (Bundesliga).
Leipzig are at the top of the table and logically remain favorites here. However, Schalke have found their form as well and will surely be tough nut to crack in this one. I expect this match to be highly competitive and attacking from both in-form teams, while it wouldn’t surprise me a lot in case we see one of the best Bundesliga matches this season.
