Tottenham vs Gent
|Gent managed to surprise Spurs in the first
leg of the last 32 in the Europa league after
winning 1-0 at home. Not only did they win
they managed to do so while resting some
key players as well as keeping a clean
sheet. With their 1-1 Standard Liege
prioritized higher it was a surprise that
Gent could go on and collect all three
points and come into the 2nd leg
in a good position.
|Judging by Tottenham’s starting 11 in the first leg, as well as Pochettinos comments, its clear they are taking this tournament serious. Their loss to Liverpool was a very big blow, especially by the way it happened and that could have had a mental impact going into their match against Gent. However Spurs managed to boost their moral after winning 0-3 away to Fulham in a London derby, with Kane scoring all three goals.
Both sides have important (must win) matches in their respective leagues this weekend.
A Gent goal will force Spurs to score 3 goals.
Though a playoff finish is a priority, progression in the Euro League would be financially beneficial for Gent.
Chelsea look favorites to win the English title so Tottenham’s main focus will be to secure a Champions League position, while attempting to win a cup, either the FA cup or the Europa League.
This is a very interesting tie and i believe both sides will fancy their chances. Tottenham have won their last 10 home matches and hope to build on this run.
The first match didn’t produce many chances but both sides hit the post, and as i mentioned before both sides will be eager to win over the weekend, meaning neither has any interest in this fixture going to extra time.

Lyon vs Dijon
|Lyon will host Dijon in the match of
the 26th round of French league 1.Lyon is playing inconsistent, it is very tough
for them to make 2 wins in a row, while in
League 1 they have won only 1 of last
4 matches. Anyway they need a win in
this game as they are fighting for
4th place and after poor results lately
St Etienne and Marseille come to
only 1 point behind them.
|Lyon is full of confidence after beating AZ 4-1 in Europa league, so I think they could take all 3 points here.
Dijon come after 2-0 win against Caen in the previous round, but before that they have lost 3 matches in a row. They will have big troubles in this game as they will miss 3 very important players in the midfield Melou, Marie and Sammaritano.
So Lyon is huge favorite to win here, but IMO the best option to bet is their win with Dijon scoring some goal. Both teams are playing very offensive football and I think we will see a lot of goals in this game, Lyon’s defense looks vulnerable, while fact is that Dijon have scored at least once in 13 of last 14 matches, so I will take Lyon and BTTS.
Here is possible line ups
Lyon: Gorgelin – Morel, Yanga-Mbiwa, Diakhaby, Jallet – Gonalons, Tousart – Depay, Fekir, Ghezzal – Cornet
Dijon: Reynet – Lang, Varrault, Abdelhamid – Martin, Balmont, Abeid, Marie, Haddadi – Diony, Tavares

Hoffenheim vs Darmstadt
|Hoffenheim suffered second defeat in the
season so far, second consecutive away
from home as the team lost points on the
road to Wolfsburg 2:1 last weekend.
However, it must be said that the things
have started in a good way for the visiting
side, since they took the lead in
26th minute via Zuber and looked more
than decent on the field.
|Visitors remained with more ball possession, while the game itself was very open with chances from both sides. Players of Wolfsburg however managed to revert the scoreline with goals from Arnold in 50th and Didavi in 73rd minute and recorded a victory in a match that could have ended very differently on some other day. Hoffenheim now remained fifth at the table, having just a point less than third and Champions League placed Eintracht, so they are surely after a victory here.
Hoffeneheim is set to play in 3-5-2 formation with Kramaric and Wagner as forwards. Central defender Benjamin Hubner (15/0) is suspended for this one. Midfiedler Philipp Ochs (3/0) is injured, same as central defender Fabian Schar (6/0) and midfielders Jeremy Toljan (11/1) and Lukas Rupp (11/2).Darmstadt surprised everyone last weekend as the team managed to get a three pointer in a home victory over Dortmund last time out with a 2:1 result. They took the lead first in 21st minute via Boyd, while Guerreiro leveled up the result in 44th minute.
Players of Dortmund had much more of the ball possession, but the home side players looked way more concrete on counter attacks and reached the victory via Colak in 67th minute, while players of Dortmund looked better, but without being concrete in attack. Despite a victory against strong opponent, Darmstadt remains last at the table with twelve points earned so far, which is seven less than safely placed Hamburger SV.
Visitors from Darmstadt are set to play in 4-2-3-1 formation, with Boyd as central striker, but also with Sam, Rosenthal and Heller as offensive midfielders. Central defender Aytac Sulu (15/0) is suspended, while injured remain offensive midfielder Denys Oliinyk (3/1), forward Felix Platte (no performance so far) and offensive Sandro Sirigu (16/2).
Darmstadt have lost their last 9 away matches (Bundesliga).
Hoffeneheim now lost two matches out of last three after their undefeated run for the first half of the season, however both defeats came on the road. In front of own fans they still remain quite a force in my eyes and I believe that they should get the victory with ease here against a side that is yet to record a single point away from home. Another positive result for Darmstadt would be simply too much for them at this time.

Olympiakos vs Osmanlispor
|A big derby between a greek and a Turkish team.
Olympiacos are a well known team , which has
|Do not forget that in 2013/14 they passed the group and also won the first match of the round of 16 against Man Utd in home 2-0. Karaiskakis which is also the stadium of Olympakios is known as hell for the opponents and the fans are really crazy and supportive. It is important to say that since October they have won 12 games out of their 15 games in home (3 others are draws). The team is also a competitive one with a lot of good quality players in attack like Brown Ideye , Eloyounoussi , Fourtounis and also a good defence (Botia and De La Bella who previously played in La Liga).
Osmanlispor is having their best season so far. They passed a weird group after a win in the final match against Zurich , and went first before Villareal. They have played some really good games this season but still the team suffers when playing away from their fans. The quality is good but almost nothing when compared to Olympiakos.
Another advantage is the difference between the coaches. The Portuguese Bento who is managing Olympiakos is a much better and experienced one.
I would blindly go for an Olympiakos win in this match. They will keep the tradition of winning at home , and I think that their quality , experience and their fans (especially in a game against a Turkish opponent) are more than enough reasons why they will beat Osmanlispor tomorrow.
So Olympiakos to win.
